The Intention

My spiritual teaching has largely emphasized our “Intention”. What is the intention? The intention is the idea that you plan (or intend) to carry out. If you mean something, it’s an intention. Your goal, purpose, or aim is your intention. If you are going to the gym so you can be healthy and fit and spend more quality time with your kids then that’s an intention. If you are going to the gym so you can look appealing and have a better option for attracting a mate then that’s another intention. Not that one intention is better than another. The key here is that your result is interwoven with your intention. Therefore, being true to yourself and have an honest and clear intention will drive a rewarding result.

When you start a new project/direction/hobby etc., tune into your inner navigational system, and have self-talk to understand yourself and then clearly state your intention without any judgement. The clear and honest intention will drive to a successful manifestation. What is Manifestation? Manifestation is an event, action, or object that clearly shows or embodies something, especially a theory or an abstract idea.

The intention is used in space exploration as well. Voyager 1 and 2 built by JPL were launched by NASA about 42 years ago in Aug/Sept of 1977. The Voyagers primary intent was to conduct close-up studies of Jupiter and Saturn, Saturn’s rings, and the larger moons of the two planets. To accomplish their two-planet mission, the spacecraft were built to last five years. Voyager 1 – longer than any other spacecraft in history to provide scientists with never-before-seen observations of our boundary with interstellar space, which crossed into interstellar space in August 2012 (~35 years after), continues to collect data and has exceeded expectation as far as initial intent goes.

The reason to share the Voyager story above is to clarify how manifestation can be magnificent and beyond our imagination. The intention is necessary for manifestation and the key is to be concise with our intention in our walk of life. Use intention in everything you do since its necessary ingredient for a magnificent life.
